If you are passionate about Bromsgrove, enjoy writing poetry and would like to
feature in a short film performing your own poem, we’d love to hear from you!
Our second film celebrating Bromsgrove through poetry, called ‘Poets of Bromsgrove’, is to be
produced and filmed by Maz Salmou, a former front line Syrian television reporter, with
support from several Bromsgrove organisations and Bromsgrove District Council. The film
aims to showcase local talent for writing and performing poetry and will also feature Faith
Taylor, the Bromsgrove-based winner of this year’s Young Poet Laureate competition for
Worcestershire.
We are currently recruiting for Bromsgrove-based poets of any age and level of experience
who might like to be involved in this film, with filming taking place locally during October and
November 2021.
Interested people must be:
• passionate about poetry
• local or well connected to Bromsgrove
• of any age or background
• keen and willing to write and be filmed performing a poem that celebrates
Bromsgrove
